Again, this is my point: your manual of life (the Bible) contradicts itself in multiple places and the best that adherents can do to justify it are quote a contradictory verse.

What I did was lead you into the box canyon of your beliefs. Through a simple series of posts it was shown that those following the Bible pick and choose the verses that suit them to the detriment of those of us who don’t adhere to your faith.

Keep your faith in your house of worship. It has no place in the governing of this country.

And prior to anyone getting all up in arms over my post I do not condone any form of violence on a child or anyone else for that mattter. Simply questions. I’ve known this entire family for decades….. my own children grew up around them. My now adult children have nothing but wonderful things to say about the Offender. The details appear blurred.

Give Me a Break: The Bible also says “An eye for an eye”, what do ya suppose that means? BTW, FYI, it IS “thou shalt not commit murder”. Apparently killing was commonplace back then, so…Moses spent 40 years out in the desert, getting the “Shalt not kill”, then God directs them to go right into Canaan and kill every man, woman, and child. How do you reconcile that?

Pretty sure that everybody who is for the death penalty would like the execution carried out in a swift manner – not being dragged through the court system for 30 or more years costing an exorbitant amount of money to the tax payers. Naysayers to the death penalty conveniently overlook that aspect and state a death penalty conviction is too expensive.
How many dangerous people who give absolutely nothing back to society should we feed and house for the rest of their lives? You can’t enforce work details because work is considered cruel punishment by the courts
