When I questioned his reason for walking between houses, he told me he was selling lawn care. I explained that he was in the wrong neighborhood to be going door to door and could possibly be caught in a bad situation. When I asked where his car was located, he got smart then explained it was down the road. He was also not in uniform. It's sad to see for those that make a living this way, but this is not how one should do door to door sales. If you're an unexpected visitor, in an unmarked car or no car, and you knock on my door, be prepared to explain yourself to Mr. Smith & Mrs. Wesson.
