I knew her many, many, many moons ago, and I'm honestly not surprised that she's so deep into a path of despair. She wasnt into drugs back then, mostly just boys. But she grew up in one of the MOST twisted, filthy (in many different ways), drug-infested environments I've ever seen, and quite honestly, she never stood much of a chance. She was set up for failure from the get-go. But even in the midst of it all, she was so funny and incredibly smart, and we had some great times together. The girl in this picture isn't the same person. Praying hard for my dear old friend. This is utterly heartbreaking. She had just gotten so much worse. I Thank God that my children and I are no longer in that run down area no more. Century is just a spot on the map where babies are always being made, drugs are being done more often by the children and now murders happen. Im so glad I'm not on drugs anymore, I thank God. Things have gotten so much more dangerous in the last 5 years. I know this girl, she's been in and out of jail on drug charges or other charges and they just let her out. I wish they'd stop letting folks snitch their way back on the streets. They'll eventually catch the big dogs without their help. They need to let these people do a lil time and some of them might decide to change their ways a lil sooner. We are actually in town visiting right now. Saw a guy slinging on the corner of Alger and 29 near the Century Kwik Stop (used to be the Jr Food Store) yesterday. He sold to a black SUV right in front of us. Not much has changed, but I wish the county would provide resources to help curtail the drug activity. Hope she gets some help to get clean.
