ECSO and PPD are seldom enforcing any traffic laws. Not just speeding. It also includes tail lights and headlights. STOP sign and traffic light running. Crosswalks and pedestrians. You name it. The Uniform Traffic Laws are not being adequately enforced in this area.

FHP, which are already few and far between, are almost always tied up with MVAs.

There doesn’t need to be a blitz or wave of temporary enforcement. It needs to be consistently enforced and applied to all at all times, not just against suspicious drivers.

The lack of enforcement, coupled with the high accident rates, are making everyone’s motor vehicle insurance sky high.

@Whisperjet….I totally agree. People have NO regard for traffic lights or speed limits. They drive like they want to. I’ve recently seen drivers having stopped for a red light blatantly run the light because they got tired of waiting for it to turn green. It was at the intersection of Airport Blvd and Hwy 29 going west. That’s just plain and simple ignorant. Also, I was going south on “W” Street approaching Beverly Pkwy, another car beside me and a truck behind me. The truck was in such a hurry he went to my left in a turn lane in order to pass me and went through the light. Plain and simple foolishness.

This is the best sentencing I’ve seen in a long time. I would love to see more of this type of sentencing for other drivers that drive drunk and speed. You drive drunk, or on some type of illegal drug and you kill someone, especially when you don’t have a license, then you should be sent away. Thank you judge for making her pay for what she did.

I have lived in Huntsville, AL, Memphis, TN, and Atlanta, GA. I can tell you without a doubt that Pensacola has the worst drivers I have ever seen. Just when I think I have seen it all, Pensacola drivers pull another rabbit out of the hat. The drivers in Pensacola are unpredictable, unsafe and downright crazy when behind the wheel.

Escambia county is full of aggressive , distracted , impairef , careless druvers..Driving around PNS is like driving to work , school , or church with your family while trying to dodge a wild bunch of KAMIKAZEES. I hope people can see the possible consequences of their dilibrrate actions..
