Hwy 29N is a busy road to say the least. Yes it's four lanes with a median, yes crossing traffic there is tricky, yes most people are flying well above the speed limit most every minute of the day in both directions. But another traffic light isn't the answer. Responsible drivers are the answer. Between tunnel vision & cell phones it's a wonder there aren't more accidents. FHP used to patrol the area. The sheriff's department used to have a traffic unit. Neither are seen much anymore & when there's no law enforcement writing tickets people will not slow down. Traffic lights bottleneck traffic, add to frustration, & they don't fix problems. I would guess that 29N handles 95% of the north end traffic & if 1% just slowed down & paid attention less traffic lights would installed to band aid the real problem. We really need a traffic light there. That is a very dangerous intersection on Hwy 29 because traffic can be coming from 4 different directions. There is also a median in the middle, which can be dangerous to cross 4 lanes (alone without a traffic light).

That intersection is also in school area and all of the buses have a hard time crossing and maneuvering there as well.
