DOT needs to block off the mediam off the main entrance to Milestone. Because the traffic from the business cutting thur on the private roads to go east on 9 Mile rd
Is bad. When these roads needs to be repaired the homeowners of Milestone will be responsible. Open up the medium from Wendy’s.

WOW. WHY didn’t this get taken care of during the widening of 9 mile road? Once again, the powers in charge do not look into the future to see the ramifications of the decisions they make!

I reside in Ashland Ave. I have to go to Pine Forest Rd every day to go to work. I have 3 options to get there. Go north and turn west onto 9 Mile Rd, which is extremely dangerous depending on the time of day. Go south and turn west onto Detroit Ave with a subsequent south (left) turn onto Pine Forest. Another very dangerous intersection. Or go south and turn east onto Detroit and a north turn onto Fowler to get to the light. This route adds an additional 10 minutes to my drive. Because the other two options are so dangerous I take the additional measures to be able to safely commute to work. There has been a huge housing explosion off Ashland bringing up the level of traffic to the area. These lights are desperately needed! But these lights will also confirm that Ashand will be used more and we have a huge problem with speeding vehicles already. Speed limit is 35 and the average vehicle is going 45 and more!!

This is great news. I travel this road almost daily and I pray every time I enter 9 Mile Rd from Ashland. It is VERY dangerous-and then you add the idiot drivers to the mix and yeah–its a disaster waiting to happen. I have witnessed numerous crashes at the very intersection.

Easy solution, don’t allow left turns! Go do a u turn, last thing we need is nine mile to be as stop and go as 9 mile east of 29! READ MY LIPS NO NEW STOPLIGHTS!

ABOUT TIME! It’s crazy trying to turn from Ashland towards Pine Forest and/or 29 if one has to cross into median. All those that don’t have to use this intersection y’all just don’t know how dangerous it really is. My son lives close to there so this is a good thing from this parent.

Fantastic!!! A Blessing! For all of you that are against this have obviously not tried to get out of or turn on to any of the residential roads in between the light at Fowler & the light at Pine Forest. It is a raceway of non-stop traffic!!!! Frightening to say the least.
Depend on your direction of travel turn lanes aren’t always the answer!!!’

Are they going to speed sink the lights to the speed limit? If they do you won’t have to stop.
