Amen Jason! You said it buddy & I totally agree! Another politician wants your vote. People have said me, the rate increase was so small, they needed it. Well it’s like this. If you can’t do your job without wanting more money from the public then get out. Don’t tell me your problems & expect me to pay for it. The board does not know how to solve problems. ECUA is essential services, water, sewer, trash collection are all services essential in today’s society & they are a state created entity. They are not a “for profit private business”. The board will not find a solution to recycling problems by raising rates but that is the course they followed. The deflection they used as an excuse. Got problems with a recycling contractor? Find a new contractor. Don’t tell me you can’t, that means you don’t want too. Recyclable trash is going to be contaminated, get over it & sort it, do what you are paid to do. Don’t want to do that? Then get out! Quit! Go out of business but don’t expect me to pay for your inability to produce or perform a task. Now you want me to vote to re-elect incumbent incompetence? No! Forget it, nada, no way. From county commissioner on down the line I will not vote for anyone of the three. Not Barry, not Slayton, & not Stephens.
