Listen everyone, this manis old enough to know which churches pass out food and what days they do it, If you’re going hungry in Pensacola you’re not trying to eat. There are also plenty of resources to help out with medical treatment and Rx’s. I doubt he was desperate enough to get arrested just for some meals and medical treatment. nobody goes to jail for the food. Some of that crap says plain as day “not meant for long term human consumption” I’m going say he’s suffering from some type of dementia something along those lines. Perhaps he was just drunk and lost a bet. While you guys are cracking jokes you don’t even realize that the majority of those inmates suffer from some type of mental illness but escambia county isn’t equip to handle or house that issue. The same goes for most of the homeless they can’t function in society due mostly treatable mental illnesses so have to fend for themselves in the streets. That doesn’t mean they are dangerous they are just a few sandwiches short of a picnic, in most cases medication greatly improves their situation. Try to keep that in mind next time you are staring out of your windshield of your nice car shaking you head at the guy asking for some spare change it’s easy to tell the drunks from the ones that really need the help.

Sad day when ya got to do something real bad to get caught to get something better than what ya had !!! Lots of people may think 74 is old well got news for you it isn’t !! Although in his case from the looks of it life has been real rough probably physically and mentally!!!!

This poor man probably did it on purpose because he was desperate for a hot meal and meds he needed. Our city has gotten so sad. Why else would an elderly man try to rob a bank? He knew he wouldn’t get away with it. That’s just common sense.

I wonder if he did this to get a place to stay, food, or medical care. Based on age and general appearance of well being these charges are more than enough to put him in prison for the rest of his life.
