Hey Jimbo, Trump was not my first or second or third choice the last two times but he won the REP primary so it was him or Hillary/Joe. Looking like the same again in the next election. As for Rep. It’s true that two people who reside in the same state can run on the same ticket for President and Vice President but they would not be able to receive the electoral votes from their state, which is 30 votes for Florida, and they would definitely be needed for a victory in the election. So for that reason, I don’t think Trump would choose DeSantis as his running mate. But with all the unethical and law-breaking things that goes on in politics these days, who can really say what will eventually happen.

Homesteaded?

They can, but electoral votes are restricted.

The Twelfth:
“The Electors shall meet in their respective states, and vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves;”

So if they were both from Florida, none of Florida’s 30 electors could vote of the 538. If both were from Vermont, none of Vermont’s 3 could vote.

Last winter I spent a couple months in Escambia County to avoid the Nebraska winter. I never saw so many DeSantis signs. They were everywhere. I am a Trump supporter because the Democrats are so against Trump and have all thee “Trumped up” accusations. I will be glad to vote Trump/DeSanntis or Trump/ Hailey!
