Your decision to send your kids to school. There is no right or wrong answer. If you don’t feel it’s safe don’t send your kids to school. Stop blaming everyone else for a decision that you can make for your own child. By the way I didn’t send mine to school today.I am not bashing anyone for the decision that has to be made that won’t make everyone happy no matter what. Get over it!!!!

It’s like 30 degrees in Pensacola, with freezing rain and a chance for black ice. along with winds of almost 20 mph. That can flip over a bus.

Hope and pray for no road accidents. All over the news even in escambia county Florida, the news is stating “if you do not have to get out don’t, very dangerous road conditions” black ice. No heat in several rooms at Bratt and other schools in the county. Couldn’t 2 days have been moved to the end of the year to ensure the safety of the kids, teachers and parents? Maybe there will not been any accidents and the superintendent of schools can say he made the right decision, but if there is how could you live with that knowing you could have just added those 2 days back to the end of the year and no harm at all?
Just my 2 cents, it’s only worth 2 cents but it’s mine.

In the 80s and 90s we made it to school just fine standing in freezing cold smashing ice at the bus stop and even throwing snowballs on the rare days it did snow here in Florida.

For all you dummies. The temperature will be in the upper twenties Tuesday morning with possible freezing rain. This is when kids will be catching the bus or riding to school . ( buncha crazies and not educated in Escambia on January 15 ) look at the forecast idiots and for all you people that aren’t from here, this is the South we don’t have equipment to clear roads of snow or ice. I get so tired of dummies on here that have no idea what they’re talking about.

In Escambia county we are supposed to get a lot of ice. I’ve been checking the status from my weather app and we were supposed to get a lot of ice and it’s still raining so it’s going to continue to build up so now I am really confused because we were supposed to have about the same amount of ice as Alabama.
