Mother’s shouldn’t be doing anything while pregnant true but in my honest opinion I would definitely rather it be marijuana than meth or anything else. Marijuana is an herb. Definitely took it extremely to far with the chemical endangerment

Before I judge without knowing the whole truth, I am aware Legal CBD that has no thc that can be purchased from any store can give positive Marijuana results. So to burn her at the stake without knowing all facts seems a bit Hypocritical and old fashion. I feel as if there’s pitch forks, torches and angry mobs still burning witches and pointing figures.

It’s her body and she would have been inconvenienced by not imbibing/it’s her body and she’s not ready for a baby (she can have an abortion that stops its heartbeat…..I think it would have rather endured withdrawal symptoms)

It is ok to kill the baby, but do not expose it to pot and let it live.

The charge is not one of smoking anything. The charge is that she provided dangerous chemicals to a child. What people do to themselves is their business or should be as long as they do not harm anyone else. What they do to children is a separate matter under the law. Anyone who has been born in the USA is a US citizen and entitled to certain rights and legal protections.

The Constitution was not changed. Various state laws have been changed. Most involved here applied to medical use of certain substances. Some laws apply in some states to recreational use of certain substances. Alabama state law apparently does not allow you to give drugs to small children even if you do it through an umbilicus.

When Mothers take chemicals during pregnancy they end up damaging the baby permanently, people don’t realize that when a girl is born she has all the eggs with her to last her a lifetime and she can permanently damage them resulting in a baby with developmental disabilities that the rest of us has to pay for in one way or another, either through our tax dollars or the result of future criminal behavior, sorry but that’s the way it is. The most tragic part is the kids didn’t sign up for this they’re the innocent ones.
I personally know people who smoked marijuana throughout their pregnancy and the kids were born very low birth weight, never could grasp school ended up dropping out and eventually abusing drugs themselves throughout their adult life.

It doesn’t matter, if the mother is pregnant, she should do everything in her power to protect that unborn baby. I have custody of a three-year-old who was born addicted to methadone. His mother goes to a clinic every day and continued to do so when she was pregnant. Was in the NIC unit for months recovering and now we deal with many issues, autism, ADHD, learning disabilities etc. It’s not his fault, it’s all on the mother. No charges were ever filed because she had a prescription for the methadone. CHARGE THEM ALL!!!!

Yes liquor and cigarettes are legal but even they should not be used by a pregnant woman, therefore harming a baby who is innocent and has no say in the matter. It doesn’t matter if marijuana is legal or not legal it causes unnecessary problems for an unwilling, innocent baby. People you are only thinking of the substance and not the baby who again has no say on what you are taking into your body and is affecting the child. Yes, it should be endangerment as the mother is endangering the baby by putting it at risk for a lot of medical problems. Think about the baby!!!!
