The family are neighbors of mine, it is so sad that his wife and children, will now be without their husband and father. Their live will be forever changed and she will now have an unbelievable burden for trying to support her family. Our neighborhood has come together to bring her and her family, money, gift cards and food to help them get through this horrible time. They are a very loving family and He will be truly missed by everyone that knew him. Prayer for their family.

I don’t know the circumstances of how this happened, but I have a relative in Inspiritas Memory Care that I visit several times a week and it is very unnerving making a left turn from northbound Davis Highway into the Inspiritas parking lot from the center turn lane. The speed limit is 35 at that point, but, southbound traffic is still going 45+. I tried changing my route so I approach going southbound instead, but, then it feels like someone is going to rear end me!

Well Bill T if the young woman has a medical reason Ie: heart attack, seizure, sudden blindness or if she was being attacked then she might not receive any charges. However, if she was a distracted or impaired driver, she might face vehicular manslaughter charges here in Florida and that can carry a sentence of up to 15 years in prison and a 10.000 dollar fine.

Makes me wonder WHY the companies that make these addictive little pieces of plastic that most everyone thinks has to have stuck in their faces every minute of the day, hasn’t made them in operatable when the car is moving. There was a time!! and a different generation.

I sit here thinking why was the girl driving south in the north bound lane ? Was she impaired confused or playing a game on her phone we apparently don’t know yet !! But based on the report she was at fault and a death occurred !! So ya got to ask yourself if In fact any of this is true what should happen to her for causing this accident !! It’s sad yes for both sides but also proper accountability must be achieved !!!

We were going south on N Davis shortly after this happened. It was so obvious that there was a loss of life. I feel for both families, the one who lost their love one in the prime of his life. I also feel sad for the young woman & her family. Their family has lost the life they had before this happened. I hope she was not on her phone or drinking but if she was negligent, she deserves the consequences associated with loss of life. God is in control & I pray for forgiveness & peace for each family involved. I also will be praying for the others who received injuries & for their physical & mental healing. Please people wake up & know we hold each others lives in our hands when we get behind the wheel if a car.
