I doesn't matter if it was Mr. Jones or someone else, the taxes are going to be levied on the property value according to the market at the time they are assessed. That's just how it works. The property values are inflated due to sales that are way over market value caused by the wave of people coming to Florida due to the pandemic from out of state causing a very high demand for housing and the demand from Navy Federal for employees due to expansion the NW Florida. The county commissioners can adjust the millage rate to offset the rising values but....well I won't go there now. RW.
