That’s just nothing compared to a person losing their life because of a dog .so unnecessary to lose your life because of a dog no matter what breed . Ridiculous. Absolutely disgusting.

Ban bad Owners from owning other animals. “Pit Bulls” and all other of same breed with different names are amazing pet for people families and other’s wanting companionship and protection. Bad owners, terrible breeding, and lack of knowledge mostly likely lead to this terrible tragedy. Whomever responded to numerous complaints from animal control should have some liability here too in allowing to keep her poor babies (they were unfortunate to not have a proper upbringing that lead to their death too, they were never taught any better they didn’t know any better)
They seriously dropped the ball apparently numerous times.

With anything that is powerful and strong, and definitely with a mind of its own, knowledge,discipline, and control are a must, she was clearly lacking in both areas, and animals control let it continue. 2 and half yrs wasn’t enough, and more people need to be held accountable. But definitely no need to ban an amazing breeed!!!! Google the good stories about pits u never get to read.

Should of been 52 years
Do research and see the #1 breed for bites and fatalities.

Ban the breed. They’re a menace. People should just get regular dogs. Punishing the owners after the fact is fine but it doesn’t prevent this from happening again.

I see it time and time again. People have these big dogs not just pit bulls they don’t take responsibility by securing there dogs by leash ot other means. This poor man went through a terrible death . Due to this woman’s irresponsible actions of having dogs she had no business having a man lost his life. She definitely should of got more time. To everyone out there do yourself and your dog justice and be a responsible dog owner.

This person not only caused a man’s death, but left him to suffer and die alone, didn’t render aid, alert anyone or call 911. Who was the judge and why only 2.5 years?

It appears that it depends on who you are, when sentences are given out. Someone lost their life and yet this person was not given an appropriate jail term. We see time and time again how harsh sentences are given for minor infractions while very minimum or no sentence is given to others for major crimes, depending on who you are. I remind us all, you may get away with a crime here on this earth, but it’s not over. You WILL answer to the Lord God Almighty. It’s never OVER until you answer to God.

We seriously need to get rid of these judges giving people a slap on the wrist. So she basically was able to kill someone and only got 2.5 years. Good job Escambia county.
