To those asking where is law enforcement? There are not enough FHP troopers to go around, I know I’ve looked into it. They don’t have the manpower & the controlling powers in Tallahassee don’t care. Anyone who has lived up here for more than a week knows this. ECSO stays on the go, they do not have the luxury of extra time for traffic watch. Hwy 29N from Muscogee Rd north is a wild ride everyday, morning & evening. Hwy 97, from Hwy 29N to Atmore is a “demolition racetrack” everyday. The county commission is only interested what subdivisions they can slip in to keep developers happy. They sure don’t care about traffic or how much more traffic they will add or it’s impact. Our district representative doesn’t care, I’ve been down that road also. There is one fact about this area people don’t want to face. Many of the people who live up here drive like madmen, WO! People passing through do the same. Note that I said many, I didn’t say all of us. When you get behind the wheel up here you better be paying attention.

I know there are not a lot of good spots to sit on 97 but what would work better would be some of those unmarked cars and trucks law enforcement has. That’s when you really see how people act.

@ justice.. it was 230 am.. what do you expect law enforcement to really do? 2 deputies patrol this vast area .. you are crazy if you think that real crime can set aside for a speed trap a 230 am.. and I pulling over a speeding Car is super dangerous at these hours so it would take both deputies of the beat for a speeding ticket.. SMH

Why isn’t law enforcement working traffic on 97? Look at the serious wrecks on 97!
The 55 mph speed limit means nothing to a lot of driver. 97 is a race track and it has been for many many years
