What are you talking about, Brian? We are absolutely using "the abundant oil, nat gas, and coal that we have in this country". The US produces more oil and more natural gas than any other country in the world. Our coal production has dropped significantly over the last few decades, but considering how horrible coal power is? I'd consider that a good thing.

I don't know of any politicians that are claiming they can control the weather. Can you provide an example?

If they thought they could control the weather they would not be worried about the climate. They would spend all their time arguing over whether to make it rain or be a clear day.

Still feels like buying liquid gold since we are not allowed to use the abundant oil, nat gas and coal that we have in this country. The reason -- because most of our politicans think that they are God and therefore they can control the weather.
