After searching for awhile around the immediate area my mother walked down to the fair (small town) looking for me. In the meantime my uncle found me , gave me a whipping and locked me in the potato cellar until my mother returned. I, once, ran away from home. I was eight years old. I ran out the door, crawled underneath the house, we lived in a shotgun house back then in the fifties, and listened to my mother singing and dancing to some music on the radio.
