Wherever the sheriff’s hands may be tied on matters such as this legislative changes need to be made. I don’t think the van thing is going to work. The point Starsky made is probably spot on! Jail time for the offender may be in good order. Start out by giving them a few days and and make it compounding for each law enforcement visit to their home!

I’m all for cleaning up the streets, deterring crime, and putting thugs away. 70 calls is ridiculous, but despite all of that this seems like an invasion of privacy.

I’ve also seen a sheriff trailer at Walmart on Hwy 29 that has cameras. What’s wrong with more of those? Overall, this is a good idea. Maybe they can just send a drone, or do FaceTime?

They will just move operations. Why not just jail them to one location and eliminate Hide And Seek.

Something is very wrong when law enforcement has to respond 70 times. After the first time someone should be leaving in cuffs. After say the fourth time the county should have the authority to demolish the structure.

I think folks are going to notice it. If the goal is to relocate the criminals, it’ll work. If the goal is to catch and arrest them, I think a plumber van or ice cream truck would work better.
