Stupidity is hard to overcome. Insurance companies that can prove people have vehicles unattended, keys inside, basically assisting in the theft, should be denied payments. You'd learn real quick not to leave your keys in the vehicle. I can't imagine do that, or leaving my vehicle running outside of a convenience store. Harsher, and I mean harsher punishments for crimes instead of permissive excuses for behavior would help too. It's gotten out of control. Time to take control back.
