Yes, I’m serious.

Virtually every criminology study performed over the past 50 years has universally found that the best method for reducing crime (especially gun violence) is access to high paying jobs, affordable housing, education, and common sense gun reform.

If you are opposed to living wages, affordable housing, and education, that’s your call. Just please don’t be a hypocrite by calling yourself “anti-crime” when you’re actively advocating for policies that make it worse.

Bob, universal housing ? My foot. People living in these government subsidized places are responsible for most of these crimes. Guaranteed wages – whether you work or not? Another great idea…. Not saying that our elected officials are the best we have to offer – but what’s wrong with working and personal responsibility for your life?

Our country has an epidemic of gun violence. There are meaningful steps that we could take to address that problem. We could pass common sense gun reform, provide addiction counseling, introduce universal housing, guarantee living wages, and reform our prison system to be rehabilitative.

…but every election, the people of Escambia County overwhelmingly vote for the candidates that strongly oppose any of those measures.

I totally agree with you sir Mr.J Larry Seale. It is getting so bad you cannot even go out without being scared. A incident happen to my son this past week. They are going out trying to find trouble even with people who has not even done anything to them.We need to be so careful everywhere even your Small convenient stores.It is so sad that escambia county has become like Mobile and New Orleans.

Pensacola has become no better than
New Orleans or Mobile for crime.
I hope the local are waking up to fhe
fact that is NO longer a quite peaceful
little town like it used to be……..
