Unfortunately, my neighbors and I are not able to ever attend public displays because we have a community that insists on antagonizing the area with unapproved home foreworks displays outside the approved three dates of our Florida statutes. We have been publicly warned on social media by these folks that their displays will begin tonight around sunset in Cottage Hill on Chavers Rd @ McKenzie Rd, and in Cantonment near Chemstrand and Kingsfield, and other locations. We have been told we should leave home, move or relocate our pets and livestock and our veteran family members with PTSS to suit their plans to ignore the generous statutes that allow fireworks on New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, and Independence Day. Sadly, gone is the sense of community and neighborhood our freedoms sought to promote & preserve and there is now little common sense, too much feigned ignorance of the law, and selfishness of boasting that tonight’s ‘celebration’ will also include firing weapons into the air.
