I wish they would do that kind of campaign on 297 a , 97 . Drivers going 75 plus 7 days a week, car races after hours and not one patrol car. These roads from Pine Forest all the way up in Cantonment could be a great source of income for the county and state that in turn could be spent on traffic officers. Both two lane roads with lack of ligths turning lanes and a historical number of fatalities.

JJ, FHP only has 3-4 officers on day shift to cover the whole county. They spend nearly all their time responding to accidents because the sheriff won’t. I got rear-ended a few weeks ago at 2pm with a 116 degree heat infex. It took three hours before FHP could respond. Meanwhile I watched several sheriff deputies drive past us.

I absolutely agree Steve , my son and I were on our way to Pensacola the other day and a car ran a red light that had been red for a good 4or5 seconds. I told him just pay attention how many do this at each light. At one light there was 4 cars that plain as day ran that light. Nearly every light had runners . Twice someone waiting for turn signal decided it was not what they wanted to do and stopped but then just went on and turned even though it was red. Road rules are only a suggestion for lots of drivers it seems.
