Who this guy answers to is the public safety director I would assume, whom answers to the administrator, whom answers to the commission.

This has been a pattern here for years. People keep electing people like Bergosh, Barry and many others in the past. The good ole boy mentality is alive and well.

It does not matter who the candidate is, local or from out of town. The problem is with who the chief answers to. Until a change in county government is made, this problem will persist.

Stop hiring these out of town folks and find someone local who is committed to Escambia County for the long haul. This is a habit with the Fire Chief position. I know we have qualified people here who can do the job.
