You foolish knaves. Of course the bail is set at $2500. What’s more likely, given the average income level in the area: that the perpetrator can pay out $250 for a $2500 bail or pay out $25,000 for a $250,000 bail? Obviously the authorities are going to set it at a level where they will actually make money. Otherwise they’ll have to house him in county jail until his court date, which is far more expensive. Oh wait, did you think law enforcement had something to do with justice?

250$ is a joke for bail. Our families are loosing thousands of dollars from hit and run because the at fault have no insurance. There is more than one way to steal from this community and the hit and run is a big one.

The bail was $2500 which is pathetically low…only adds insult to the injuries and seriousness of the crime.
I’m impressed that law enforcement caught him as that is usually not the case on many hit and runs

Coward behind the wheel, not caring for another person. you would think his intentional actions to flee would be enough to deny bond, evidently not in this day and age of indifference, hate, and contempt. Even more disturbing, valuing the young man’s life at 2500 dollars.
