Previously, we had no options for providing services to facility bound customers. Walton County, Tax Collector, Rhonda Skipper and I realized we needed to invent a way to serve these individuals identification needs with dignity and compassion. And this led to the ID-GO solution. Escambia County has provided bedside service to 12 individuals since receiving the equipment. Currently, we are sharing the prototype between our two counties. We expect to receive our permanent unit in the next few weeks. All Real ID requirements must still be met to obtain a Florida credential. With that said, we will make every effort to assist customers in their time of need as efficiently and timely as possible. If you have a family member that is medically incapable of leaving a facility, reach out to us at ectc@escambiataxcollector.com for assistance.
