@Vicky. As his mother, you can get him the help he needs. The Marchman Act is a civil and involuntary commitment statute in the state of Florida, and exists to provide means to voluntarily or involuntarily commit those who are struggling with a substance use disorder (SUD).

Prison doesn’t rehabilitate people. People who live in poverty often do desperate (sometimes stupid) things to provide for themselves and their families. Just because someone broke the law doesn’t mean their parents failed to raise them properly.

Something set this guy on the critical path to burglarizing two houses. Was it desperation? Addiction? Who knows?

The point is that if you aren’t willing to address the cause that pushed him to this point, then you aren’t anti-crime. You’re just pro-punishment.

Well Vicky guess u didn’t raise ur kid right because I have kids and they no right from wrong and if my kid does something like that I turn him in my self no matter what it hurts no he doesn’t need help he needs prison time because if he needs help then as a parent I should be trying to get the help but ur just making excuses for him

I’m his Mom but I’m not saying what he did is ok but he needs help not prison if you had kids how would you feel ?I’m sorry to all the people he hurt he needs to go to a rehab facility but don’t judge people
