Tracy snd Steve – good information. I wondered about all these drug seized vehicles myself. In this case: if the 22 Dodge Ram was financed , will the lender have to pay fines to get it in their possession?

@curious……I thought the same thing. Yes, they go to auction periodically. Check with the ECSO on timesand locations. Im llooking for a vehicle too.

To answer on the auction question. The person that owns it gets a chance 1st to redeem it out. Its a pretty large amount to get them back so most dont and they end up on auction after its been cleared and title comes back to the agency/.
After that it goes on a 3rd party auction site and anyone can bid on it. I have tried to get a couple of vehicles but the dealers always run the price up so high its not really worth it, since you are taking a chance at it being damaged or needing repairs
