There’s usually a lane that’s shut down anyways. It shouldn’t be that big of an impact. I’ve been flying that airport twice a month for 18 years.

TSA at Pensacola are the best agents. They are respectful and courteous. I travel through every two weeks and have never had any problem that I didn’t create. I appreciate them and their service.

Pensacola airport is a lovely facility. Travel through often. Yes, Pre check is the way to go. Personnel always efficient .

If you want to feel like a RockStar at Pensacola International Airport, TSA Pre-Check is where it is at.

“This schedule was determined by TSA based on the availability of the equipment and contractor.”
In other words, they didn’t take into account this is a tourist town and summer is the busiest time of the year for the airport and doing it in January/February/March would have interrupted less traffic.
Also, summer vacation ends on labor day, 19 weeks from now. If it takes 3 weeks per lane, that is six lanes worth of time and our airport does not have 6 security lanes. You are lucky if 2 lanes are open. So there is something about this that doesn’t add up.
