We have a lol of guns that get stolen from vehicles and homes (and yes this includes by family members not just break-ns) because the owner was simply too lazy to secure them properly. It's simple secure your gun properly (and no leaving it in your unattended unlocked car is not storing it properly) if not and it is stolen and used in a crime you are then charged as an accessory to that crime be it robbery murder or any other crime. I firmly believe that after the first couple hundred gun owners are charged people will be a lot better at storing those weapons ridding criminals of an readily available and easily obtained source of firearms. I’m sick of hearing about GUN VIOLENCE. I would love for someone to explain to me how an inanimate object can cause violence. I have no problem being around people that are armed and fully believe that I am also armed. An armed society is a polite society. I’m also sick of hearing about ASSAULT WEAPONS. If I assault someone with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich that sandwich is, by definition, an assault weapon. Get a gun carry it, get over it.
