I hit that pot hole Sunday morning while it was raining. Popped my tire too! I sat in Cirlce k parking lot for several hours till I could get help. The roadside assistance thru my cell phone couldn’t find anyone in our area to put my spare on for me. They were willing to reach outside our area to a provider with a high out of pocket deductible, which I declined. So my daughter called a local 24/7 tow company that came out within an hour. $85 to change flat Sunday and $180 Monday for new tire. With our roads as dangerous as they have become I am looking for better roadside assistance!

I don’t understand why if the county was sending someone to fill that huge pothole-thank you- but why didn’t the county have the crew fix the other problems close by, there are edges of the road that drop off and that is very dangerous for new young drivers going to Tate. West Roberts road is not a wide road and is easy for inexperienced drivers to run off the edge, and the natural instinct would be to jerk it back on and flip the car, please please fix the roads near the school before another teen is killed.

The Circle K holding pond empties out onto West Roberts Rd. Another failed permit by some incompetent inspector. But the same inspectors will fine businesses for too much debris in their ponds. While we are at it, let’s widen and repair West Roberts from Hwy 29 to Pine Forest. It’s dangerous!

Funds are available to put 5 people on a asphalt patching truck..1 to drive, 1 to read a map, 1 to hold a shovel, 1 to work a tamp and 1 to pull a lever to disperse the material and it will take about 4 hours to do. And they’ll repave a perfectly fine road for their buddies if it means it will bring in more tax dollars and promote a pat on a back and a contribution to their favorite charity…Importance is measured in $$$. Same stuff different day.

If you see a problem call the Road Department at (850)494-5860. That’s what I do instead of complaining on Northescambia.com. Or they can raise taxes and hire people to ride and look for pot holes. The roads belong to the citizens so we can help do our part. That’s just my opinion.

Adding to this, there’s a massive pothole on Jahaza in Molino near the bridge.
