Do not build the bus shelters. They will turn into another homeless camp. I have noticed all over town that benches at bus stops have been removed because the homeless camp on them thus ruining it for everyone including the people who are actually waiting on a bus. Never will I understand why Escambia county is allowing the homeless population to trash our town. It looks deplorable everywhere you look with trash and people begging for money at most major intersections. Is this what we really want our tourist to see when they arrive. They have even taken over a county park in Brentwood across the street from a school. How is this ok and tolerated? What a shame.

We had to call and get the bus shelter removed from Palafox and Murphy Lane area because it basically became a homeless shelter that was slept in, pooped in, with used needles everywhere and trashed beyond belief every week right in front of a business. Bus shelters in areas of high homeless populations quickly become eyesores and trash receptacles and are a waste of money. Don't waste tax payers dollars on bus shelters in that area of Palafox.

"William, i guess that i don’t understand the Palafox st sidewalks from Hwy 29 to nine mile rd. because they are cross streets.???"

Got me at first too until I pulled up the map and thought for a bit. Palafox also intersects HIghway 29 at the "Y" down near Brent Lane and Pensacola Christian College. So from there back up to to Nine MIle.
