So sorry to learn of Mikes’ passing. My late husband Lee worked with Mike at the road prison, Mike was one of his favorite people. Condolences to the family and friends.

So very sorry to hear of Mike’s passing! I had the honor and privilege of serving with him when he served as a Corrections Officer at the Escambia County Road Prison. He was respected by all, and certainly by me. Our prayers are with Sherry and the family.

This was such a shock! Mike has always been so sweet, He really loved his Nephews. He taught me and Tim one of his nephews how to shoot a Squirrel when he is running on a limb. Just shoot a little ahead of him. And;; when he and I went hunting while Edward was overseas in the Army, I killed my first Squirrel with Mike’s rife. He also taught me how to catch Croppy when we went fishing . I lived with the Hollands for a short span while Edward was overseas. I had Tim my oldest son at the time when he was about 2 he stayed on the Holland farm for a while so Tim could enjoy his UNCLE Mike . Mike took up a lot of time with him and Tim will tell you today, how Uncle Mike taught him to squirrel hunt an also to fish. Mike was a great outdoor sportsman. He had the personality to go with it. He will be missed so very much.
