One who heard me responded, "I hope you don't think it means I didn't raise them right whenever one of MY children misbehaves." "It doesn't matter what I think. It's what others think, whether they say it or not." Sometime later I heard that one saying, "I'm not having others thinking I'M a bad parent. You WILL behave."
