How many time have you seen the person on the motorcycle with a helmet on the back of the bike. besides its pretty easy to tell by the damage to their heads and what "matter " is smeared on the side of the truck. In the 90s in the state of Florida helmets were required as with other states. The Attorney who overturned the requirement for helmets to not be required in Florida in 2000 died with his girlfriend in a bike crash neither had helmets on. So now the law states if you are 21 or younger you are required by law to wear a helmet. You know if we reinstated the requirement for safe helmets kids might actually catch on and think it's normal and take the adults lead. So many preteens riding 4 Wheeler's with no protection, I cringe every time I see them speeding along the road at dusk. They should never have appealed the law requiring helmets back in 2000. If we overlook the lights, signals, and tires, had the kids been driving legally, then they would have had a street legal bike, insurance, and most importantly, a motorcycle endorsement on their license- meaning the kid, I should say adult, would have had the proper training to ride it, and may have been more observing of the signs, you know, Luke the stop sign. They are lucky they didn't kill anyone. What would have happened if the truck had been a bicycle or another motorcycle instead?
