However, I believe there needs to be a Citizens Oversight Committee (COC) to regulate the training procedures and protocols in place by the ECSD. Each County District should have one representative to voice the opinions of the citizens concerning the training and conduct of ECSD Officers. We need an Attorney to help get our voice across. As we all now, there are Good Cops, and there are BAD Cops... I believe we should have the Right to work with our local Sherriff's Department on building a stronger and crime-free community. I believe that if this is implemented we would lead the Country by Example... Maybe the Big Cities would quit being Burned Down. Something to think about. I hope the Sheriff will use other agency personnel for specified training as well. There is a wealth of resources and experience available. Specifically in the area of traffic stops, dui detection and apprehension and the like. This is really a wonderful idea.
