Top 10 Most Fatal Dog Breeds Table
Breed. Deaths	% of Total
Pit bull 284	65.6%
Rottweiler 45	10.4%
German shepherd 20	4.6%
Mixed-breed 17	3.9%

And I cut off the other six. If it is lined up, good. If not, typo.
Information from my buddy, Google, may or may not be correct.

REGARDING:
"@David…. Ever heard of a “Typo” ???"

Yes, I have. "an error (as of spelling) in typed or typeset material.

This was more of a misstatement, presumably accidental.
Wrong should be made right when possible.
Go ahead and feel free to attack/correct mine. They are fairly common.

@David.... Ever heard of a "Typo" ??? I haven't myself gone to search but I'll bet you top dollar the Op meant 66% of all deaths caused by dogs are from pitbulls while they are a small minority of overall dog population...

Jordan for allowing and understanding that people will make grammatical typing errors...

REGARDING:
"Pit bulls account for 66% of the deaths of humans in America!"

There is no way that is accurate.

Heart disease: 695,547
Cancer: 605,213
COVID-19: 416,893
Accidents (unintentional injuries): 224,935
Stroke (cerebrovascular diseases): 162,890
Chronic lower respiratory diseases: 142,342
Alzheimer’s disease: 119,399
Diabetes: 103,294
Chronic liver disease and cirrhosis : 56,585
Nephritis, nephrotic syndrome, and nephrosis: 54,358

And the list still hasn't mentioned dogs.

Research shows that breed specific legislation does not work. There are sweet pit bulls and there are highly aggressive pit bulls. Even though a trait of all terrier breeds is high agility and prey aggression,The problem lies with people.

It would also help if the animal shelter would stop refusing to take in animals under the guise of 'being full'. Our shelter has always been full. The only difference is that in the past, they were not afraid to euthanize to make space. Now that they refuse to address the problem and want animals left on the street. That is the exact reason why the frequency of dog bites is insanely high. Until the citizens demand the shelter take in animals, this problem will continue.

My Sincere Condolences to the Family. Such a tragedy for all. My wish, may you soon find Peace when hear this loved ones name and Laughter within the stories you will share. My hope, finding the people accountable to contributing to this and hold them to the fullest extent of the law.

I am not taking stance on Ban or Not Ban because a Pack Mentality changes all the dynamics(for any mammal). The term “pit bull” usually doesn’t refer to a single dog breed. Pit bull is generally used as a broad description for a type of dog. Many dog breeds may be classified as pit bulls, including: American Staffordshire Terriers, American Bull Terriers, American Pit Bull Terriers, American Bulldogs. So when you hear "Pit Bull" and pit bull bans, pit bull bite statistics, and pit bull abandonment rates, they all refer to a much larger group of dogs than you’d imagine. Grouping so many dogs together under one label can skew statistics and lead to harmful stereotypes and consequences on all, which is a Real Thing.

Daily "Life" has all of us interacting with mammals that can (and do) kill instantly. I acknowledge and respect that daily. I am talking about the mammals that drive the car beside me with their nose in the phone, the mammals that I saddle up and ride as a hobby, the mammals that drive by me as I walk through a grocery store parking lot, the mammals that wait behind you in line anywhere, etc.

Hold Those Accountable for their wrong doing/actions(or lack of) and I truly believe we would see a change.

@Mike... hey, don't mess with my Boston Terrier, she'll leave a mark!

But seriously, these dogs are very strong and probably shouldn't be owned by irresponsible people. I've known many people with pit bulls, though. Nice people who had pits I never had issues with. But it's sad to see people who treat them badly and only own them because it's the cool and tough thing, now.

Pit bulls only comprise around 6.5% of the dog population in the U.S. but are responsible for 65.6% of the fatal dog attacks. Rottweilers are the second dangerous breed; they are responsible for 10.4% of fatal dog attacks. You can blame the owners for these attacks, but the numbers show very clearly that pit bulls ARE dangerous. Have you ever heard of Jack Russels or Boston Terriers killing people?

Account for 66% of the human deaths in America...
Seriously? Did you just make that up or did you watch a tictoc that told you that? Either way you are a moron.
Humans kill humans because there are those certain individuals just born defective. Lucky for us they didnt "ban the breed." Dont you think?
