Opportunities lost to learn language, math, science, art, and business skills in an environment where teachers are giving their all to help young people.

Opportunities lost to develop a sense of care and nurture of neighbors, community, and family.

Opportunities lost to hear the voices and guidance of those showing that suspension from school was a warning of what could come.

Opportunities lost to reflect in silence on the consequences of making decisions that could threaten and harm others like yourself, families, and friends.

To those young people who remain free and with so many opportunities already in their grasp, I can only ask, “Can you hang on to your chances? Can you hear others… the living, those who have passed, and even those incarcerated for life, teaching, guiding, nodding, or shaking their head? Can you hear your own inner voice, a spirit within heard only in the silence, whispering to follow a path of kindness, giving, and of hope?

Or, will you, too, look back, even in your youngest days of adulthood, only to see nothing except opportunities lost?

@Cierra this is Justice for Jonathan. Run Run is now serving the remainder of the maximum sentence from his manslaughter conviction! It’s also Justice for Chris! Run Run is exactly where he needs to be for the rest of his life.

I was one of those that rallied behind him after the first young man was shot… At that point in my life I had knew them both and their friendship and wanted so hard to believe that he could not have intentionally shot Johnboy. It was definitely one of those situations where I was in denial that he could be that evil. I have since grown up and come to the realizations that some people are just good at pulling the wool over your eyes on who they really are. He is obviously an evil absolutely vile person.

I for one am truly sorry to John boys family for ever rallying around this waste of life, and for any unnecessary heart ache I may have caused then.
