They are like kids, you must treat them like your own child. All they want is your attention and love and all they live to do is be with us because we bred them over centuries to be companions. This upsets me as much as knowing a child is neglected... no living thing deserves living in its own feces and filth, that is a literal description of Hell. Get this dog and cat well, I'd love to take them both... Both of these animals will make someone a great pet. I'm sure after all the neglect they will want nothing but love, kindness and attention. I took in an abused pit once, 1 year old... After I got him cleaned up, fed, let him rest well, he never left my side and was the best dog I ever had. RIP lil buddy.
