I live on the street where the cows are, some of the bulls are as big as a car itself. They are out often and wonder into my yard or walk down the street. I’ve driven by a few times and noticed the wire missing from the fence. I’ve also attempted contact and end up leaving a note w my info asking the owner to call me so I could have his contact info so I could reach out if I saw the cows out because I’m afraid of a car hitting them and hurting all involved.
The section on 95A where we are isn’t well lit and the cows are black, if their eyes are about all you’d see until you are on top of them, it would be very easy to not see it until too late.
I hope the driver is ok.

To Person who calls themselves Molina resident. What you don’t know is that truck is equipped with a computer record of my driving speed at the time of the incident. I take great responsibility to never exceed the speed limit through that area due the traffic and narrow road. I guess you have an ax to grind because you don’t like the trucks . As long as I have driven that truck including that morning it has never exceeded 45mph on 95a. Also there was no vehicle behind me when this occurred and there is a witness that was on the side of the road when it happened, who was making an attempt to coral the cows. If you can’t tell the truth, you should not comment!!

Interesting reading some of these comments. When all the city folks moved to the rural communities they try and bring with them their city ways with them! Sorry to disappoint you things are a lil different what did you expect and if you want to continue your city ways move back to the city. To the Ken’s and the Karen’s of the world unfortunately this happens when you own livestock. As one person stated slow down and pay attention!
Put your phones up and watch what your doing, it’s called defensive driving. As for the large gravel trucks speed limits are not anything they have paid much attention to. Get behind one on hey 29 and see for yourself!

I am an animal lover and livestock owner. I have hit deer that seemed to appear all of a sudden bc they were stealthy a popped out of bushes right beside the road.. I managed to avoid a near head on collision with a black horse , well after midnight many years ago.Because I pay attention and I'm always scanning the road, ditches, and yards ahead bc I do not want to run over someone's dog or pet. And I'd rather not have to pay the deductable for those deer on suicide missions when they jump in front of my truck..I just can not understand how someone can not see a COW!! Folks will say it was a black cow and it wasn't good daylight yet..Ok..Maybe..But if u are paying attention and NOT FLYING , these things may could be avoided.. And maybe the owner will invest in an electric fence . Run it on the inside of the existing fence and they will stay put..I promise..

So very glad the driver was not hurt. I feel sorry for the cow. I hope the owner gets it checked out and gets it some pain medicine. It must be very sore. Poor thing!

These bulls were bedded down at the end of my road when I left for work yesterday morning. It was pitch dark. I killed my lights & my engine trying not to spook them, called for law enforcement because I knew if they ended up in the road it would end badly. I heard the driver hit the bull. I called my neighbor for help & started reaching out to fellow neighbors to locate the owner. People wouldn’t even slow down with law enforcement on sight! In the end the bulls crossed 95 A to get to the opposite side they came from again after the accident then back across until finally back to the side they came from. This could have been much much worse had a motorcycle or small car been involved. Thank God other than the bull nobody was injured or killed.

I was directly behind the truck when it hit the cow. It was a semi hauling rock and when he hit the cow it sent the cow flying through the air to the opposite side of the road. I just don’t see how that cow could survive much less get up and walk away. The truck was doing about 60 mph when it hit it. If that cow got up it must have a guardian angel because it was a violent collision.
