Native, you are so right. Perdido Bay along Lillian Hwy was frozen over for quite a bit offshore. I drove past that area that morning and saw people walking on the frozen ice. I also saw a VW Beetle being driven on it. It was amazing to see.

Over the last 40 years, the median global temperature has risen by about 2 degrees Fahrenheit.

2 degrees doesn’t sound like much, but it is enough to cause phytoplankton to die off, coral reefs to bleach, glaciers to recede, and climate to change.

I remember that Christmas in 1983. Perdido Bay actually partially froze. I have pictures walking on ice about 100 feet from shore.
