Tommy and I played sports against each other in high school. The one time we played on the same team was against the Arkansas Redheads in Flomaton. I remember him as a good athlete and gentleman..

A very good 3rd baseman & basketball forward during our 1961 senior year at FHS. I just as well add that he could throw a mean dried out clay clod during the summer too. Tommy broke an ankle during our 10th grade year and Mr. Sid was not going to let Tommy wear the old timey steel cleats baseball shoes. Our coach mashed, shoved, squeezed Mr Sid, our mailman and he agreed to Tommy wearing tennis shoes. By the way our coach had to buy the shoes. Just one story about Tommy, to me he was a gentleman and an idol. Mickey
