If the e.c.s.o and fla troopers would do more traffic enforcement and start to scare people from speeding, giving tickets and or arrests would help people think twice about speeding. Also raise the ticket price. Hasn’t charged with the inflation America had endured. People know they can get away with speeding and it costs lives!

BentStraight it’s because of the lack of police officers and funding. Would you want to be a cop if you were disrespected as much as they are today. They are underpaid, overworked and not respected. With as much crime that there is in Escambia county there is no one left to do traffic enforcement.

If 90,000 people travel that ramp daily & don’t crash, how is it the ramp’s fault. I’ve traveled that ramp many times and did not crash. When one takes on the responsibility that goes with sitting behind that steering wheel that should be their #1 concern. Pay attention. Sometimes even that doesn’t save the day if there is a mechanical malfunction. I’m not blaming anybody nor the road, but giving 100% attention to the task of driving goes a long way and more people get back to their families alive.

Enforcement?
Put a LEO at every 100 feet?
Law enforcement cares..just the fools who think the rules dont apply to them.
If you need to be enforced, or baby sit, perhaps those dont need a license.
Just a little tidbit….
LEO can not enforce what they dont see taking place.
How about the LEOs who get hit by idiots and killed or maimed because they do mot move over when they see a responder enforcing the law?
That means a LEO is right there and he cant stop idiots from running over him/her while doing their job?
If you feel you gave the need to be baby sit…cut your license up and burn it.
We dont need that type out here on the road.

I guess the people whose driving habits prevail all the other thousands of drivers who use that same ramp know something .
But they dont wreck,
everyday…but humans err and always will.

Put up a camera like the red lite cameras only set for speeders. that would stop a lot of the wrecks on the ramp.

Learn how to drive and you wont wreck on this ramp. Hahah its aleays all the other problems..never the fault of the one that wrecked…Thats like being in a plane crash and blaming the road conditions.

Many of these accidents are a direct result of the lack of enforcement of traffic laws. Apparently, Law Enforcement has determined that TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT is NOT cost effective or they don’t have the manpower, even FHP just shows up AFTER the accident to do a report. As a result, people are driving crazier than ever and all you can do is try and drive as defensively as you can to survive!
