Sad that so many voters opted to subsidize the property taxes of some of large companies. Every time the BCC grants an EDATE to a company - many of them Fortune 500 companies - in exchange for a promise of the hiring of future employees, residents shoulder the burden of paying that companies property tax and/or subsidizing that employees paycheck. Because one thing is for sure, the BCC is always willing to dig deeper into your wallet for some of the free money they can spend or give away to complete a deal.

IMHO, this last round of EDATEs provided in the last 5 years or so, wasnt beneficial to taxpayers.
