To those who stand with George and the citizen…how do you know? Since, the opioid crisis blew up from prescriptions the majority of addicts got hooked by doctors not pushers. Also, this whole ‘you chose’ garbage is really a ploy put out by the opioid manufacturers to lay blame on the victims. Don’t get sucked into that mob.

Citzen and George, I’m not saying you are ignorant but you maybe lacking in knowledge or experience. Hopefully this program will help. The current programs in Escambia County are lacking. If you are reading this and think the opiods will not affect your family. You are probably wrong. By the way, currently Escambia County does not have a DETOX Facility. Maybe funds could be used to open one. I would like more details on this program..

Citizen in the responses is a sicker dude than the addict. Your response was unnecessary and ignorant.
Thank you to all who are trying to help. My 31 yr old son was one of the statistics in 2015. He was loved and lost but NEVER a loser! I will follow the Opiod Recovery project and help if I can.

I suppose it’s good. I can’t stand an addict.
They remind me of Gollum in Lord of the Rings. I try to stay as far away as possible.
I think opiates have their place in end of life care.
I also think if people want to OD and stop breathingu them let them — one less loser to deal with.
