I don’t understand why some are acting as if this vaccination is a last minute thing. How long have you lived here cause this has been a requirement for many years . It’s not the school’s fault that you didn’t get the vaccine.

If your child is going to their regular checkups each year, then their pediatrician is aware of what vaccinations they need and will give it to them. I have never had to make a special appointment for a shot or ask our pediatrician for one. It’s been pretty much automatic.

Most pharmacies can administer vaccines which are usually 100% covered by insurance, no line, no wait.

Yes, I agree with “Oversight” this notification should have been seen home the last week of school and maybe a reminder 2 weeks ago.

A lot of parents are entering the panic mode right about now with only eight days to get thousands of seventh graders vaxed. Sure, (insert eye roll here) those appointments at the health department will be easy and convenient to come by.
