My mother in law is 83. She obeys the law waaaaaaaay better than ALL of the younger people with sporty cars or big trucks. I’ve never seen Mom weaving, dodging, cutting in and out of traffic acting foolish. She pulls into a parking spot like a charm. Her driving record is spotless. You people worrying about older people driving need to worry about your own poor skills. Law Enforcement can make decisions way better than you do and they do.

Oversight, kind of nasty to assume the accident happened because she is 87.

And the schools are staggered, 4:55 is totally OK to arrive home. Better than 3pm where kids can get into trouble.

Wow, kids spend a crazy long time going to school and home again than some adults do working their jobs. On the other hand, 87 year old SUV driver? FHP should call in the driver’s license office to re-test her to see if she should still be licensed to operate a motor vehicle.
