My husband and I walked into the Popeyes on 9 mile road last week. It was so dirty that we walked right back out. We use to love Popeyes, but not clean anymore! Owners better straighten it out!

The last time I went through the drive thru of Popeye’s in East 9 Mile Rd (in Winn-Dixie shopping complex) I was able to see behind the counter from drive-,thru. There was si much food on the floor that it looked like a food dump! Healrh Dept. would have closed them down if they had come by at that time! One worker even threw what appeared to be a chicken sandwich onto the floor as hard as she could. It was at that point I decided I would not be back. I too became ill after eating at the one on 9 Mile & Pine Cone. Their chicken even tastes different than other 2 locations. They all are way too heavy handed with the salt! So, looks like I’m done with Popeye’s.

Popeyes is disgusting! If you have to build a chicken place, at least make it edible. I second the Chick-fil-a! But would rather keep that clutter in the city. We moved out here to get away from the city. Just saying.

Good luck with Popeyes. I got food poisoning from their chicken and was very ill. I had never been so sick. I still can’t eat there.

I drive by this location every day to and from work, and I think the only positive (read-Sarcasm) thing will be with entrances on BOTH Hwy. 29 and 95A this will allow the traffic that backs up on 95A at the Hwy. 29 light a way to cut through to Hwy. 29.

I welcome a Popeyes to the area. Hopefully it will be the start to having a full service sit down restaurant up here. Heard Walmart is coming but no firm date. As far as the impact Popeyes will have on traffic, I am more concerned about the nightmare additional traffic the 200+ lots subdivision south of Quinette Road between Hwy. 29 and 95a is going to be. They’ve already cleared the land and are putting in utilities. Doesn’t appear our county commissioners took into account what it will do to 95A. With all the commercial truck traffic, the road is in need of resurfacing, etc. Let’s see what an additional 400 cars and trucks will do to the road and traffic.
