Please Town of Century ,When you do budget provide more money for maintenance of ditches. Last 2 months I have complained to Mayor, Street Supervisor, City Hall 3 times. about drainage problems in front of my house on Pinewood Ave. Don’t know if this is a manpower shortage, lack of communication, between each other or just don,t care.If shortage of workers please come up with more money to hire extra help or contract work out to help catch up with weed eating and dirt in ditche.

Further thoughts on the issue of “No property tax for Seniors”…If you’re 65 or more and your AGI meets the standards for Senior discounts, make that the qualifier for “No property taxes for Seniors.”

@ ensley boy…..you can just about guarantee that they will inflate the budget based on “speculated” future prices since the economy isn’t anywhere stable enough.
One issue that should be addressed is….No property taxes for Senior adults so they can keep their homes. With the economy like it is…it’s difficult enough for Seniors to survive just on Social Security.

With inflation it is hard enough to figure out a budget with the family, I would hate to try to budget services for the whole county. Without the stability of prices, this is going to be difficult for anyone to make a close decision on how much money should be provided for each service.
