….and then comes my completely noncareing neighbor. Many years ago, during Hurricane Erin, two of his many tall healthy pine trees fell on my house doing significant damage. When he discovered from HIS insurance company this was an “act of God,” and that MY insurance would have to cover the damage, he obtained an instantaneous advanced degree in “theologic divinity.” Now his many remaining trees are 25 years taller, and any requests for him to alleviate the problem are met with a slackjawed stare. Oh well…ain’t life grand?

trees are good to have love the cool shade they put off however they must be sprayed year to year to keep the bugs and ants from eating them up. I spray every year and inspect them but with extreme high winds they can come down on your home depends on the tree some might be slowly pushed down depends on the root system . I seen a huge limb break off in 3 angel apartments hit the entrance way thank goodness no one got hurt. there are so many rotted trees in escambia county next hurricane could have most sitting at home trees will be down everywhere you look. Aug -15- 22 – here they come.

My daughter is an insurance broker. She said it can impact insurance coverage when you’re buying home insurance- whether trees are over or touching your house.I had all of the ones touching my house cut down. Makes sense.

That’s why I don’t have any trees on my property that can reach my house if toppled.
