This is such an awesome story. We did a similar thing with the dogs and cats here in Pittsburgh PA at Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh. The dogs and cats certainly appreciated it and the volunteers enjoyed the experience too.

My 86 yo mothers pug (collapsed trachea) hyperventilated once the fireworks started
Eventhough he had been given a pill to calm him. My mom watched him trying to catch his breath for 3! Hours before he died. They do not have a local vet and she hates “bothering people.”. What a terrible way to die. I know my mom did wrong,
Just mentioned this because the worse does happen.

SueB, Maybe you should move to Massachusetts, fireworks are completely banned there…give your dog some medicine and they’ll be fine.

FIREWORKS should be banned in the State of Florida.
